Dear Pericles Students and Friends! 20th of November, Friday, 19:00 -21:00, we are glad to invite Bruce McDonald speaking on “Recent Developments in U.S. Trademark and Intellectual Property Law." Pericles is thrilled to welcome Mr. McDonald, who has just arrived from Washington D.C., to discuss the procedure for litigating international intellectual property disputes in the U.S. court system, his thoughts on the Russian patent court system that he has been advising, and major IP issues concerning Russia and the U.S.
Mr. McDonald is a partner in the intellectual property group and Washington, D.C. office of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, a U.S. law firm headquartered in Atlanta. His practice spans all aspect of trademark law including registration, clearance, investigation, enforcement and litigation. His interest in Russia dates back to a national Russian language scholarship in at Leningrad State University in 1976. In 2013, he was the first and only American named to the Advisory Council of the Intellectual Property Court of the Russian Federation. |
